Vacation Bible School Week!
This has been Vacation Bible School week here. That is a great week in this house. I loved it as a child; I love it as an adult! I do believe all those years of attending VBS, teaching VBS, and now taking my own kids to VBS makes me a VBS expert. So let's take a look at how this week's VBS has gone. Do note, however, that I have never once been asked to organize it - and that's all the more reason I like to critique it !! Ha Ha!
I liked the love and kindness the adults showed all the kids. Sometimes I fear that Checkered and I are not as kind and patient toward children not our own as we should be. So when these adults who have no connection to my kids take the time to learn their names and are happy my kids are there? Very nice.
I liked the curriculum this week. Choose to believe. Choose to act. Choose to forgive. Choose to obey. Choose Jesus.
I liked the skit some of the kids did each night. I really like my own William the Frog son who impressed us with his ability to learn lines and perform.
I liked the fun incentives each night. The kids dressed like crazy tourists, they sported crazy hair, dressed
in one color.

I liked best of all that my 6 year old asked Jesus to live in his heart.
======
Now for what I would change.
Well, for starters....
There's....
Well, I guess when I think about my boy giving his heart to Jesus, all else pales in comparison, doesn't it?

I'm baaack! Nice new photo, BTW! Never had VBS at our church (Catholic), but I want you to know that a friend took me to her VBS a few times, and it made a very good impression on me.

Oh my goodness! Congrats! That's what it's all about right there. I'm crying for sheer happiness for you and your boy. I was saved at VBS so, so many years ago.

LOL Mrs caution... Its quite alreight to tell us what to do ... I asked for thoughts and opinions LOL... I am thrilled to hear that she understood and tears are good even for the nosy folks LOL...I don't know if I said so yet or not but I will go on and tell the story...of course it will be super condensed version but hopefully interesting none the less.
Hope you are having a great day!
